Our Story

From a simple idea to a statewide movement.

Crossroads Mathematics was born from a shared passion for a subject that is often seen as intimidating. Our founders, a group of educators, engineers, and former mathletes from across Indiana, saw a need for a space where young minds could not only be challenged but also find a community that celebrated their love for numbers, patterns, and problem-solving.

Founders of CrossroadsMath collaborating

We started in 2018 with a single competition held in a high school gymnasium in Indianapolis. The turnout was beyond our wildest dreams, confirming our belief that there was a hunger for competitive mathematics in the Hoosier State. The energy in that room was electric – a mix of intense focus and collaborative spirit. It was the spark that ignited Crossroads Mathematics.

"Our goal was never just about finding the 'best' math student. It was about creating an environment where curiosity is the compass and every problem is a journey, not a test." - Dr. Evelyn Reed, Co-founder

Today, Crossroads Mathematics has grown into a cornerstone of Indiana's academic landscape. We host a series of events throughout the year, both online and in-person, reaching thousands of students from every corner of the state. We partner with universities, school districts, and local businesses to provide resources, mentorship, and a platform for students to shine.

Our journey is a testament to the power of community and the timeless beauty of mathematics. We are proud to be at the crossroads where Indiana's rich heritage meets the limitless future of its brightest young minds.
